TINASHE AND FUTURE’S NEW SONG IS A TWILIGHT-READY SLOW JAM

MTV-

After a three-year delay, Tinashe is gearing up to release Joyride, the official follow-up to her excellent 2014 debut, Aquarius. We’ve already heard the album’s lead single — the Offset-featuring “No Drama” — and on Monday (February 12), Tinashe shared another promising track, “Faded Love.”

This one finds her reuniting with Future, who appeared on the Aquariuscut “How Many Times.” Producer Stargate supplies the glitchy beat and murky synths, while Tinashe dreamily croons, “Don't give me your name / I don't need your number saved in my phone/ Just follow me, follow me, follow me, follow me home.” Future pops up toward the climax with an Auto-Tuned verse in which he promises, “We so spiritually connected / We going in the right direction.”

Speaking to Beats 1, Tinashe said of the twilight-ready tune, “‘Faded Love’ is kind of more muted, it's a little bit more R&B, it's a little more sensual, mid-tempo.”

The singer also assured host Zane Lowe that Joyride is all but ready to go. She said, “It is done. My recording is done. I’m in the mixing process right now. … Our tracklist has been submitted. So it’s real! It’s really real.”

We’ll believe it when we see it, T! In the meantime, see her talk all things Joyride with MTV News correspondent Gaby Wilson in the revealing interview below.

Does Frank Ocean Have a New Album to Release in 2018?

Esquire-

There are few artists in contemporary music as mysterious as Frank Ocean. His songs and albums are released seemingly on a whim, sometimes weeks or years apart. In 2016, Ocean released two surprise albums—his first full records in four years. Then, last year, he released a handful of unannounced singles, including “Provider,” “Biking,” and “Chanel.”

Jeezy Returns With "Pressure" Album Dropping Dec, 15th

The veteran Atlanta rapper revealed the title, release date and cover for his new album. The project, titled simply Pressure, will be released on Def Jam on Dec. 15.

The rhymer's announcement comes as a bit of a surprise, but it's one he's actually been teasing for a little while now. For the last several weeks, the Snowman's been using the hashtag #TrustYaProcess on his social media accounts. It appears to be a very slight flip of the Philadelphia 76ers motto of #TrustTheProcess, with Jeezy's version calling people to "trust in oneself to overcome life's most difficult challenges." Dope.

To announce Pressure, Jeezy, who signed with United Talent Agency last summer, uploaded an extra-cinematic trailer to his Instagram account. In it, Jeezy pulls up in his flossy white Ferrari before stepping onto the snow-covered road. At that exact moment, a triumphant new track, presumably from his Pressure album, begins playing, and we know the Snowman has arrived.

"PRESSURE. 12/15. #TrustYaProcess," he captions the appropriately epic trailer. You can pre-order Pressure through Jeezy's official online store and cop official #TrustYaProcess gear from the same place.

Eminem Releases New "Revival" Song "Untouchable"

Listen to the second offering from Eminem's "Revival" album called "Untouchable."

As we near closer to the December 15th release date of Eminem’s 9th studio album Revival, the Detroit legend continues to slowly reveal further details about it. After learning a couple days ago that the LP will contain 19 songs in total and feature guest appearances from Phresher, Ed Sheeran, Pink, Skylar Grey, Kehlani, Alicia Keys, X Ambassadors, and Beyonce, the latter of which appears on the previously heard single “Walk On Water,” Em has now gone ahead and made the album available for pre-order on iTunes today, ultimately sharing its artwork (which we saw yesterday) & a new song in the process called "Untouchable."

Eminem Unveils Star-Studded Track-List for 'Revival,' Enlists Beyonce, Ed Sheeran, P!nk, Alicia Keys & More

billboard- Eminem's ninth solo album 'Revival' arrives Dec. 15

With one week left before he unwraps his elusive ninth album Revival, Eminemhas opted to tease fans once more, as he revealed the project's star-studded track list on Twitter Tuesday (Dec. 5).

After walking on water with Beyoncé, Eminem nabs a slew of marquee singers for the LP, including P!nk, Ed Sheeran, Kehlani, Alicia Keys and Skylar Grey. For Em, Revival serves as his first album since his 2013 release Marshall Mathers LP 2, which spawned hit singles such as "Berzerk," "Rap God," and the Rihanna-assisted Hot 100 chart-topper "The Monster."

The 19-track offering also finds Eminem linking up with rookie artist, Phresher, who caused tremors last year on the East Coast with his regional hit "Wait a Minute." His name grew exponentially in stature after he released the remix for the track, which featured Remy Ma and 50 Cent. When the video was released sans 50 Cent, fans quickly assumed that Remy was sending jabs towards Nicki Minaj, elevating the record in status.

Yo Gotti pal Corey McClendon charged with attempted murder in shooting of Young Dolph

Los Angeles police have arrested Corey McClendon, a friend of chart-topping rapper Yo Gotti, on a charge of attempted murder in the shooting of up-and-coming Tennessee rapper Young Dolph in front of a Hollywood hotel Tuesday afternoon.

Det. Meghan Aguilar, a spokeswoman for the LAPD, said Wednesday that McClendon was arrested and booked early Wednesday. He was being held on $1 million bail.

She said investigators are still looking for two other men believed to have been involved in the fight with Young Dolph, 32, which led to the shooting in the valet area of the Loews Hollywood hotel, near the intersection of Hollywood Boulevard and Highland Avenue.

Young Dolph (real name Adolph Thornton Jr.) is in critical but stable condition at a local hospital from a gunshot wound , Aguilar said.

McClendon, 43, is a known associate of Gotti (real name Mario Mims), who was charged with nine other men with aggravated riot in a melee that led to the shooting of six people in the parking lot of nightclub in Memphis in November 2010.

Local media reports at the time said McClendon, then 36, was one of the men charged after he and Yo Gotti  got into an argument with another rapper, OG Boo Dirty. But a few months later, all charges were dropped by the Shelby County District Attorney’s Office because there weren’t enough witnesses to the fight.

The Hollywood altercation took place about 1:30 p.m. Tuesday, Aguilar said, when Young Dolph and three men got into an argument.

"The argument between (Young Dolph) and the men escalated to a physical fight, and he fell to the ground. One of the men then pulled out a gun and started shooting," Aguilar said. "Young Dolph was struck but was able to get up and run into a local business."

Two of the men ran off and the third jumped into a gold Cadillac Escalade parked in front of the hotel, Aguilar said. He drove off but abandoned the car and ran away on foot.

This is the second time this year that Young Dolph has been shot at: In February, his SUV was targeted by as many as 100 bullets in Charlotte, N.C., before a party he was to attend at a nightclub. His vehicle was bulletproof so the Memphis rapper escaped unharmed and was able to make his scheduled appearance.

In May, a Memphis-based rapper, Blac Youngsta, was one of three men charged with discharging a weapon and felony conspiracy in connection with the shootout, believed to stem from a rivalry between out-of-town rappers.

Later, Young Dolph released track, 100 Shots, on his album Bulletproof. He's best known for his guest verse on, Cut It, by O.T. Genasis, which hit 35 on the Billboard chart in 2016.

Yo Gotti's Rake It Up featuring Nicki Minaj is currently No. 8 on the Billboard Hot 100 chart.

Meanwhile, some of Young Dolph's friends and admirers spoke out about the Hollywood shooting on social media.

"Get well soon my boy @youngdolph," 2 Chainz posted on his Instagram. Young Dolph was scheduled to open for the hip-hop star in Georgia to next week.
