Guwop previously dropped the video for “I Get the Bag,” the Migos collab that’s also on his upcoming album. His autobiography drops Sept. 19, and you can watch a trailer for the upcoming book on the Atlanta rapper’s life.
But he’s ringing in 2017 with a bang (no pun intended), dropping the mixtape Two Zero One Seven New Year’s Day.
After that, there’s a good chance he’s going to revisit his Big Gucci Sosa Gucci Mane collab.
“We’ve talked a few times since he got out but we both busy as hell,” Sosa told Local Savages. “Niggas always hitting me up on Twitter about Big Gucci Sosa 2 so we gonna have to get together and do that. I made a whole ‘nother tape with my beats and him while he was gone but we ended up trashing that shit. I like his new songs, they hard as hell.”
As for those beats, you may be hearing some of them on Two Zero One Seven, which will feature a lot of his own production. “I been practicing making beats for two years now and if I’m gonna spend all that time I want niggas to hear it,” he explained. “My beats hard as hell now, expect that. I got Tadoe on there, Kash, uh…I think that’s it. Leekeleek got a beat on there too but I think the rest is all me. Hard ass shit. Bars and shit. You gonna be hearing it out of every car.”
It’s a Hip Hop tradition for rappers to lace their radio appearances with some freestyling, emphasis on the free. Gucci Mane, during a recent appearance on Sway In The Morning, showed that he’s willing to buck tradition in order to stack up his bucks.
Gucci told Sway he wouldn’t freestyle gratis, but he’d drop 12 new bars for the low price of $50,000.
